The World’s End is a small, family-run, traditional village pub dating back to the 18th Century.
It is situated on the edge of the popular village of Lowdham, ideally placed for visiting the city of Nottingham, the historic town of Newark, Southwell with its famous minster and Robin Hood’s Sherwood Forest - all within 30 minutes drive away.
We pride ourselves on keeping quality Cask Ales and providing a delicious and reasonably priced menu in our 26 seat restaurant.
Restaurant bookings are always advised particularly for group and party bookings ... as we do get quite busy! For bigger events, you might like to consider our Marquee in our large, attractive garden.
Visitor attractions are plentiful. There are excellent countryside walks on our doorstep and the River Trent is only minutes away too.
For sports enthusiasts, there is football to be enjoyed at the homes of Nottingham Forest and Notts County. There’s also Horse Racing at Nottingham and Southwell, Cricket at Trent Bridge and the Water Sports Centre at Holme Pierrepont - all again within 30 minutes drive!!
There are also plenty of theatres, cinemas and other leisure activities to enjoy throughout the district, so we are positive that your visit to the World’s End will be a very pleasurable experience.
